Director,
– Dr. Natalie Enclade, Former Director
FEMA ICPD

Dear National CERT Association Members,

It is with great honor and excitement that I write to you as the Interim Chair of NCA. As I step into this role, I am filled with enthusiasm for the incredible work we have ahead of us and the bright future we will shape together.

First and foremost, I want to express my deepest gratitude to the outgoing President, Suu-Va Tai, whose leadership and vision have been instrumental in advancing our mission. His dedication has laid a solid foundation upon which we will continue to build.

Our association is at the heart of a community committed to preparedness, response, recovery, and education. As we navigate a world of constant change, it is more important than ever to strengthen the bonds between our members, ensure that our collective voice is heard, and continue pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve together.

Over the coming year, I look forward to collaborating with each of you to:

• Prepare a five-year plan for the NCA: where we want to go and how we will get there. This will include re-working our mission statement and bylaws.

• Host a National Conference each year.

• Foster a more inclusive and engaged environment, where every member has the opportunity to contribute and thrive.

• Grow our reach and impact through innovative initiatives and partnerships, making CERT a household word.

As we move forward, your involvement will be essential. Whether you are a long-time member or new to our community, your ideas, expertise, and passion are what make this association so strong. I encourage you to get involved, stay engaged, and reach out to share your thoughts with me and the Leadership Team. We will be introducing an application process for those who wish to be involved at the Leadership level very soon.

Together, we will continue to create positive change, shape the future, and ensure that the NCA remains a vibrant, inclusive, and influential force for years to come.

Thank you for the trust you have placed in me, and I am eager to embark on this journey with all of you.

Warm regards,

Samantha Royster
