[Albany, NY] – (April 22, 2024) The State University of New York Council for University Advancement (SUNYCUAD) announces the recipients of its esteemed Hall of Fame and Educational Achievement Awards, to be bestowed at the upcoming 2024 SUNYCUAD Conference, running from June 5-7 on Long Island. Recognizing excellence and dedication within the SUNY system, these awards highlight the outstanding contributions of individuals who have made significant impacts on their institutions and the field of higher education advancement.
The awards ceremony, scheduled during the conference’s dinner event, will honor Hall of Fame inductee, Kathy Coley, and Educational Achievement Award recipient, Judith Greiman, for their outstanding contributions to SUNYCUAD and public higher education.

Coley was the Director of Communications and Special Assistant to the Vice President at SUNY Farmingdale State College, who was inducted into the SUNYCUAD Hall of Fame in 2021 but was unable to receive her award in person due to COVID-related cancellations. Coley’s impact on Farmingdale State College and the SUNY community has been profound. With over four decades of service, Coley’s accolades include the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service and the Farmingdale Foundation Award for Excellence. In retirement, she volunteers with Landmark on Main Street and ReWild Long Island in Port Washington, promoting community arts and sustainable landscaping.Educational Achievement Award Recipient Judith Greiman
Greiman is the Chief Deputy to the President and Senior Vice President for Government and Community Relations at SUNY Stony Brook University. She is being recognized for her significant contributions to public higher education in New York State. A leader in strategy development, government relations, equity initiatives, and community engagement, Greiman’s distinguished career spans decades. Her advocacy and leadership at Stony Brook have earned her recognition and include the Frederick Preston Partnership award, Shirley Strum Kenny Steel Magnolia award, and Jerrold L. Stein Student Life Award.“I am deeply honored to receive the Educational Achievement Award,” said Greiman. “This recognition underscores the importance of our collective efforts in advancing public higher education in New York State. I am proud to join a list of past awardees who made profound impacts and set a standard of excellence in our field.”

Highlights of the conference include keynote presentations from renowned leaders, such as Birgit Smith Burton, Chair of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Global Board, and Justin Fincher, Ph.D., Vice President for Advancement at Stony Brook University.
